Patient Review 1:

Bottom line: Dr. Koppikar is not only a great dentist but extremely friendly and understanding. I chipped my front bottom tooth and was looking for a place close to my new office. I was disappointed with my previous dentist of four years who seemed more like a used car salesman. He was a good dentist but every visit I had to endure the hard sell of replacing amalgam with epoxy fillings and other cosmetic b.s. I dreaded going. So after chipping my tooth I look on the net and made some calls as I was in panic mode. I found Dr. Koppikar through this site and honestly I though that it might be a scam, that he and his staff stuffed the ballot box. Other Dr.'s have maybe 4 or 5 responses. Koppikar had 120, so I was skeptical. The receptionist sensed my panic and found a time that day. The second I went into the office I realized the reviews are real, I felt comfortable. The staff is very nice and friendly. While waiting you can watch Hulu on a flat screen in the dentist chair. But best of all is Dr. Koppikar, very understanding, patient, nice, and intelligent. He instills calm and confidence and did a great job with my tooth. No hard sell here, just a great dentist. I appreciate what he has done and am switching to him permanently -DDM

It broke my heart when I found out Dr. Koppikar's office did not accept CIGNA HMO dental patients (after we retired) and we had to choose another dentist. Thank goodness my mother and son are still able to use his services with their insurances! He is so good with elderly patients- actually patients of all ages! All of the treatments our family has had done were painless. Dr. Koppikar has an efficient office and pays great attention to detail!

About Hygienist: Sandy was great and my mom & son miss her, but his new staff are friendly, caring and competent.

I have been to several dentists in the past, and really enjoyed Dr. Koppikar's office because it is a smaller office and you feel like you get more one-on-one attention. Dr. Koppikar is great. I started going to him about a year ago after he was recommended by an oral surgeon. He takes time to get to know you, understand your individual dental issues and explain how he can remedy any problems you may have. His office followed up with me after a root canal which was a nice surprise.

His prices are very reasonable as I do not have dental insurance, his staff is very professional and I highly recommend Dr. Koppikar to anyone seeking a dentist. You will thoroughly enjoy your experience with him and his staff.

I had two fillings fixed and it was very painless and quick. I was able to get them fixed the same day I got my teeth cleaned which was very easy. He was friendly, nice, and professional. I would and have recommended this office to my friends.

I have had one root canal and then they fixed my chiped tooth. I am extremly scared of dentists and the anxiety for me is a level 10, however the staff and the dentist made me feel at home and comfortable. They continued to ask me how I felt during the treatment and made sure I was comfortable.

I had 4 fillings and it went very smoothly with very little unconfort to me as I am not the best patient for Dentists. Having the TV to get my mind off the proceedures was a great help. Everyone from the front dest to the dental assistant was great.

The facility is always spotless, the pain minimal, chair side manners great and treatment(s) a success. (Although the jury is still out on my recently obtained nightguard).Yes, I would recommend "Doc" to others. DeAnn is a wonderful Hygienist. I have just started going to Dr. Koppikar, and I can say that as long as he is a dentist, I will be his patient. Dr. Koppikar was very kind and actually listened to my needs as a patient.

So far he has extracted 3 teeth. I'm always nervous about the dentist but they make you feel so comfortable, like you really are at a spa. It was quick and painless. I need a lot more work done so I will definitely be going back. I've told all my friends and family about Dr. Koppikar.

After putting off going to the dentist for 4 years, I sought out a doctor in my area and chose Dr. Koppikar based on numerous positive reviews on the Dr. Oogle site.

My treatment plan included 3 root canals, 1 crown, and a handful of cavities that were redone from childhood fillings. While I don't fear needles, thinking about dental pain makes me shudder. Dr. Koppikar and his staff made certain I understood the details of my treatment plan, was comfortable at all times, and made reminder and follow-up calls book-ending every appointment.

Because my initial consultation instilled confidence in Dr. Koppikar's staff and office, I opted not to "shop around." For this reason I can't comment on costs, only that my 4-year dental hiatus resulted in a hefty dent in my wallet.

The office is clean, friendly, and updated with digital patient records and monitors in each room used to share patient information and x-rays on-screen as well as display tv/dvd entertainment during an office visit. - Nicole M.

I had a cracked tooth. I haven't been to a dentist for years and Dr. Koppikar did not make me feel bad because of that. Dr. did a crown on the tooth. Still in the process. Was a little shocked at the price, but I know it must be the going rate--I just haven't had any dental work done in a while.

My son saw Dr. Koppikar a couple years ago and referred me. It was a very nice atmosphere and all were friendly.

I was recomended to Dr. Koppikar by a co-worker and from my first visit, I loved the place. The people were all so nice and attentive and my routine cleaning was the most thourough I had ever received in my life. Dr. Koppikar is friendly and knowledgeable with a genuine concern for my dental health. He always remembers little things about me and asks about my life. I have received 3 routine cleanings as well as a filling at his office and when he did the filling he was very attentive to making sure it was perfect and I was comfortable the whole time. I would highly recommend Dr. Koppikar and have, in fact, recommended him to at least 3 of his new patients.

About Hygienist: My experiences with the Hygenist are partially described above, but overall I am so impressed with the quality of care I receive. My first visit was with an older lady and my last 2 cleanings were done by a younger lady who is the current Hygenist. Both go above and beyond to make sure my teeth are absolutely sparkling and any problems or concerns are adressed. This last visit, I had some staining I was concerned about, and she spent extra time showing me that it was not of too much concern and then cleaning it off. She also showed me what to do to prevent it coming back. I always leave happy and satisfied that I am receiving top-notch dental care.

My wife and I visited the Biltmore Dentist Center and Dr. Sameet Koppikar this week. His office staff was extremely professional and attentive. The dental techs were gentle and genuinely caring about us being comfortable. Dr. Koppikar was very involved in the exam and discussed what he was examining. This was very refreshing as I was used to being told the facts and not being able to ask questions with my previous dentist. They also have television monitors that can play your favorite sitcom while you are in the chair. This was a nice touch and made me feel at ease. My insurance billings and copay amounts were addressed without me having to ask about them. He has the patience to fully understand your questions and gives thorough answers. Dr. Koppikar is very presonable and treated me with respect. It is never fun going to the Dentist but he always spends time to make sure you are comfortable and aware of the procedure before he starts working on your teeth. I had to have a 30 year old filling replaced and the filling was very deep. He ended up having to do a root canal and a crown, but he made me as comfortable as possibile and even called that night to make sure I was doing well. All the staff cares for their paitents and listens when something is worng. The have clean blankets in case you get cold, have TV to watch and are very professional. I had been to 4 other dentists since moving to Phoenix but would let them work on me once I saw their offices. They take the dental profession to a whole new level! They even work with you about your co pays and dental insurance so you know exactly what to plan for money wise. I would NEVER consider switching dentists, even if my insurance changed and my care was no longer covered.!

About Hygienist: Sandy is my Hygienist and she is a true gem. She has the most gentle hands I ever met when it comes to cleaning your teeth and gums. They have this ultrasonic plaque machine, so the scraping and digging is minimal. they have the latest and greatest technology so you are in an out in no time. I would be crushed if Sandy retires, so I hope she continues to polish teeth for quite some time!

Dr Koppikar is the 3rd dentist I have had at this facility. Although I miss the last two doctors greatly, Dr Koppikar made the transition painless. I got vaneers, crowns and a bridge done on the upper portion and they look amazing! At first, they were a bit off level but Dr K. fixed it without hesitation. The patient"s happiness is their #1 goal. The only thing I would say I don't enjoy is getting my teeth cleaned. Sandy does an amazing job but goes a bit too quickly for me. I need time to rest my mouth and she just gets in there and does her job. She is extremely friendly and remembers who you are but I need a moment to rest my mouth. If you are debation on whether to go to Dr Koppikar or not, I would recommend him in a second!

I am amazed-- I was treated very well, taken good care of. Every care was taken of my comfort, my slight nervousness (removal of first wisdom tooth). Everyone was courteous and very friendly, esp. Dr. Koppikar; he explained everything clearly, was timely. Also, no pain! Seriously, over the last three days since the extraction I have had no pain whatsoever, without even needing ibuprofen let alone anything stronger (I was expecting more from wisdom teeth extraction horror stories). Dr. Sameet Koppikar is just a wonderful dentist. He is a good listener, a talented doctor, and sincerely cares about me as a person. That is a breath of fresh air amidst assembly-line health care else where.

Dr. Koppikar also has a staff of friendly and helpful individuals: Danielle (office manager), Leticia (dental asst.), and Sandy (hygienist).

The facility and dental equipment are clean, functional, and nicely decorated. This adds to the confidence and comfort level for pleasant dental work.

No one hates going to the dentist more than I. You might hate it as much, but NO ONE more. I put off my work for years becasuse I'm such a baby, and it kind of stacked up on me. Dr. Koppikar has a way of making the visit stress-free and pleasant through not only his demeanor, but his innate skill and the quality people he surrounds himself with. What a team!!! Dr. Koppikar's bed-side manner is first class. He scores a perfect 10 (painless) on shot-giving ability:) He obviously knows what he's doing. He has top of the line equipment, with the latest and greatest technology. It is obvious through the many plaques on his walls that he stays current on the newest techniques. Dr. K is a very concerned about the quality of his patients teeth. He has brought in the technology that will allow him to maintain the quality of my teeth so I can keep them for another 50+ years without any problems.

He makes sure that I know what actions he is going to perform ahead of time, keeps me informed during the duties he is performing and he will followup afterwards as to my health.

The only negative is the parking issue or customer service would be rated higher.

I went to the Biltmore Dental Center to see the previous Dentist who retired and I was nervous about having a new dentist but Dr.Koppikar is a sweetheart.

To be a good dentist you have to be a nice person too and he is certainly that. It is the reason that I still go back.

I have not had any trouble with his work and he is always willing to take the time to answer questions.

There are times when pain is unavoidable but on my last visit I didn't even feel the novacaine injections! That's a good dentist.

I also see Sandy, his hygienist and she is a doll. She is always so patient and gentle and I have very sensitive gums.

She never gives up on her patients and their gums. Floss, floss, floss girl...

They are also very good with making appointments.

I definitely recommend Dr.Koppikar and his team.

Let's face it . . . going to the dentist is typically one of those experiences that rank on the same level as taking out the garbage, washing the dishes, and shaving. It simply has to be done!
