Case Description
In May 2008 I had all my uppers pulled and replaced with a denture. I also had several bottom teeth removed for a partial. I've never had "good teeth", so I thought this would be my solution to great smile and no dental problems. Boy was I wrong! The dental office I went to was "young", fresh out of dental "class", not college....unbelievable. The teeth on the left side of my denture are bigger than the right side, and the gag thing is bad. The partial never fit, the teeth are too high and the thing cuts into my gums. I went twice a week for 3 months for "adjustments", and still have a partial I can't wear. I know I have a lot of bone loss on the bottom, and cost is factor. I'm leaning towards upper denture implant and a bottom bridge. I'm not any ugly person, but the one thing I've never had............. was a nice smile. Can anyone help? I do have dental insurance, for what it's worth. Thanks!

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.
